Wareneinsatz is a decision. Not a formula page.
Committing Wareneinsatz and labour before demand is known is a decision you release — not a calculator. Agents on Spectacle propose; Freigabe decides.
The formula is not the hard part. Warenwirtschaft already knows what went in. The BWA will show what came out. Schwund and Abschriften will be booked. What you still do by hand is decide — tonight’s Par-Level, this week’s buy, the material that must be committed before demand is known.
That is the empty lane. Public search is full of Wareneinsatz Formel and food-cost how-tos: SumUp, RestaurantHero, Gastro Master, shoperate, DISH. Useful arithmetic. Wrong ending for this piece. A calculator does not release a named measure. A percentage on a slide does not change the buy.
The formula page is occupied. The decision is not.
We already wrote the cut on the screen: a dashboard is not a decision. We already wrote the cut on the file: right Kennzahlen can still be reporting. We already wrote the cut on the floor: tonight’s Schicht does not move after the doors open.
This piece sits under all three. Wareneinsatz is material committed early. Schicht is labour committed early. Both land before demand is known. The operating question is not “what is the Wareneinsatzquote?” The operating question is: which named commitment do you release — and which do you hold.
If the answer is another spreadsheet that recomputes the same ratio, you are still on the formula page. Agents on Spectacle assemble what Warenwirtschaft and Zeitwirtschaft already hold into a named measure. A person gives Freigabe. Arithmetic stays in code. The model only writes language.
Labour and material — same pattern
It fits where three things hold at once: demand is uncertain, capacity is fixed in the short run, and labour and material must be committed before demand is known.
A line that cannot re-tool tonight. A dock that cannot add a bay. A crew that cannot invent cover. A ward that cannot create a qualification. A branch that cannot move the close. A venue that cannot reprint the Schicht after the doors open — and cannot undo the buy after the truck left.
Six bands, same pattern — equals, no beachhead: manufacturing and production; warehousing, logistics and distribution; technical service and maintenance; health and care; retail and multi-site; venue operations. A named account is not a category. Gastgewerbe is one band among six, never the product story. We do not invent Wareneinsatzquote targets or hours saved for any of them.
What a released decision looks like
Spectacle sits above ERP, Warenwirtschaft, and Zeitwirtschaft. It does not replace them. It does not write the Kasse. It does not silently rewrite a Dienstplan. Named-employee rostering is not bookable.
It proposes a named measure against commitments you already made or are about to make: this Par-Level, this material move, this cover against the posted Schicht — scored in code against the commitment you named, before it runs. You decide, per measure type, what is automatic, what needs a role, and what stays manual. A legally sealed system is never written to.
Same-series cuts already live: the screen (dashboard is not a decision); the file (right numbers can still be reporting); the floor (tonight’s Schicht does not move); the strand (hospitality is not the TAM); the offer (agents take the work; you get the time back); the closer (you need time back, not another Kennzahlen wall). If a workshop is the entry, see when an AI workshop is worth it.
If the object model already exists in your trade, twenty minutes is enough to see whether a released Wareneinsatz or Schicht decision is worth building. If the data cannot answer the question, we say so.
FAQ
Is this a Wareneinsatz-Formel guide? No. The formula lane is occupied. This piece is the decision you release before demand is known — not another calculator.
Do you invent Wareneinsatzquote targets or hours saved? No. We do not publish invented percentages, hours saved, ROI, or accuracy bands.
Is Wareneinsatz only material? No. The same pattern covers labour committed early — Schicht and Dienstplan — alongside material. Both land before demand is known.
Is this only Gastgewerbe / restaurant software? No. The fit is the operating pattern. The six public bands are equals. We do not lead with a beachhead as the product. Spectacle is not restaurant software.
Does anything run without Freigabe — including the Kasse? Actions that matter wait on a person. Silent auto-rostering and sealed-system writes are out of scope. The Kasse is not in this loop.
Where should I start? Spectacle. The Insights series is how we write about the operation.
